Mr. Cooper began his career in the electrical construction industry in 1989 as an Estimator with MYR Group subsidiary The L.E. Myers Co.
Mr. Cooper has held several positions within The L.E. Myers Co. including District Estimator, Business Development Manager, District Manager and Regional Manager, overseeing all aspects of T&D construction and maintenance operations. He then served in Vice President and Regional Vice President roles where he was responsible for the oversight of all MYR Group eastern district operations and played a key role in developing, sustaining and growing relationships with many major clients throughout the eastern U.S.
In 2015, Mr. Cooper was named President of The L.E. Myers Co. He currently serves as Senior Vice President, East for MYR Group and oversees MYR Group’s large projects in addition to the eastern district operations. Mr. Cooper is well-versed in all aspects of operations and brings significant experience in the areas of personnel development, estimating, sales and project management.
Mr. Cooper is a Board Member with American Line Builders Chapter of the National Electrical Contractors Association and is a Trustee for the American Line Builders Apprenticeship Training Program. He has a Masters Certificate in Applied Project Management from Villanova University and a Bachelor of Science Degree in Industrial Training from Bowling Green State University.
Group Vice President
Mr. Stern has over 17 years of experience in the electrical construction industry, beginning his career with MYR Group in 2001 as a market analyst.
In this role, Stern reported directly to the CEO, providing ongoing financial analysis and performance tracking of project activity across all MYR Group business units. He played a key role in the Company’s strategic development and conducted research into economic and market trends impacting the industry.
Mr. Stern also served as a regional vice president and district manager with The L.E. Myers Co. (L.E. Myers). In his efforts, Mr. Stern played an essential role in growing the district by forming a team to implement new contract management methods and business development processes.
After working in various positions with L.E. Myers, Mr. Stern was promoted to the role of group vice president where he maintains responsibility for operations throughout Midwest and Southeastern U.S.
He is active in business development, strategic planning, budgeting/cost control, safety plan/process implementation, and developing and implementing operational strategies to ensure successful performance of independent profit centers.
Other related experience includes director of financial analysis for Pike Electric Corporation from 2008-2010, where Stern led the development of reporting requirements for a new job cost system and internal financial reporting mechanism and participated in M&A activities.
Mr. Stern graduated from Stephen F. Austin State University with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration and received his Master of Business Administration from the University of Denver.
William H. Green
Senior Vice President
Mr. Green has over 45 years of management and operations experience in the transmission and distribution industry and currently serves as Senior Vice President of The L.E. Myers Co.
Most recently, Mr. Green served as Senior Vice President of MYR Group and from December 2003 to May 2011, he also served as Chief Operating Officer of MYR Group. He began his career with Sturgeon Electric Company (a subsidiary of MYR Group Inc. (MYR Group) in 1988 as a Vice President of Line Operations. In 1996, he became a Senior Vice President of Line Operations for The L.E. Myers Co., another MYR Group subsidiary. In 1999, Mr. Green was named Group Vice President of T&D-East of MYR Group and in 2003, was named Senior Vice President and Chief Operating Officer of MYR Group. Prior to joining MYR Group, Mr. Green held senior management positions with Commonwealth Electric Company as well as Florida Power & Light.
Group Vice President
Mr. Lamont has over 30 years of experience in the electrical construction industry. He began his career with MYR Group Inc. (MYR Group) in 2005 as an operations manager for the company’s subsidiary Harlan Electric Company (Harlan Electric). In this role, he was highly involved in the company’s startup operations for a newly awarded contract with National Grid in the northeastern U.S. His responsibilities included development and implementation of safety plans and budgets, proposal development, project execution, and employee development.
Since 2011, Mr. Lamont has served as vice president, responsible for Harlan Electric’s three district operations located in Rochester Hills, Michigan; Carlisle, Pennsylvania and Methuen, Massachusetts. Mr. Lamont is well-versed in all phases of the electrical construction industry including subcontractor management, supplier and partner relationship management, equipment and tool utilization, material procurement, transmission below 765kV, overhead/underground distribution and substation work under 500kV.
Prior to joining MYR Group, Mr. Lamont served for five years as the operations and service manager at Ekra America, Inc. (Ekra). Prior to this, Mr. Lamont held several roles at various electrical system companies throughout New England over a 13-year period, predominately with the Massachusetts Electric Company. Positions held include manager of overhead/underground lines, district supervisor of field engineering, area supervisor, and supervisor of underground lines.
Mr. Lamont holds a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from Worcester Polytechnic Institute and is a graduate of WPI’s School of Industrial Management.
Regional Vice President
Mr. Mumm has over 35 years of experience in the electrical construction industry. He began his career in 1979 as an apprentice lineman with L.E. Myers in the American Line Builders Apprenticeship Training (ALBAT) program. After completing the program in 1986, Mr. Mumm joined Ameren Illinois Power, Co. as a journeyman lineman and held various positions of increasing responsibility throughout his 20-year tenure with the company.
In 2005, Mr. Mumm returned to L.E. Myers as an operations manager where he was responsible for field operations for transmission, distribution, and substation projects.
In 2013, Mr. Mumm was promoted to district manager of L.E. Myers’ Decatur, IL location, where he was responsible for local operations for transmission, overhead and underground distribution, substation, and foundation construction projects with an emphasis on safety, quality, and performance.
Mr. Mumm was promoted to regional vice president in 2017, where he is responsible for working with L.E. Myers central districts to continue building the region by utilizing resources throughout the group to capitalize on current and future opportunities.
