Proud OSHA VPP STAR Status Members
OSHA’s Voluntary Protection Program (VPP) promotes effective worksite-based safety and health with management, labor, and OSHA establishing cooperative relationships at workplaces that have implemented a comprehensive safety and health management system. Approval into VPP is OSHA’s official recognition of the outstanding efforts of employers and employees who have achieved exemplary occupational safety and health.
L.E. Myers has multiple districts that have earned VPP STAR status, the organization’s highest grade, stringently reserved for organizations that develop and implement continuous improvement in workplace safety and health management. These programs must result in injury and illness rates below the national averages for their industries. All organizations that reach the top tier of the VPP program must undergo three-year audits, rigorous onsite evaluations, and an ongoing renewal process.
Consistent resources must be dedicated to continue meeting VPP’s ever-changing criteria, which is additionally difficult while maintaining a mobile workforce. We continually push forward to remain at the forefront of health and safety and consistently renew our districts as VPP Program, as well as seek to add more districts into this prestigious program through MERIT and STAR status.
